I need to know at least three reasons how the defeat led to Napoleon selling the Louisian territory for fifteen million dollars.

The French realized after their defeat in Haiti that they were unable to defend the lands of the Louisiana territory. Also the French needed money. They also had a slave rebellion in Santo Domingo. Yellow fever reduced the number of French forces in the Caribbean. The American government made it clear to France that we would not tolerate the Louisiana territory being transferred from Spain to France. Napoleon knew that war with Great Britain would soon break out again. He feared an Anglo-American alliance against France. I hope this has been a help to you.
