Cold Air Intake and a good flowing muffler that sounds good. Flowmaster or Magnaflow.

lots of stuff. Ford has an aftermarket list. I would startwith a Power Commander control chip. Its simple and easy to put in.
Don't wast $$ on big exhaust. It sounds different but the muffler is probably not as restrictive as other components. If you want to put in a free flow system there are many avaialable. Next I would put a cam, and hot ignition in it

Sell the ford and buy a real car.Do not try to make a piece of junk faster for your own safety.

I've got a 05 focus, dunt listen to that Glen W dude. Lots of stuff you can do to it but in Aus there arent many parts for it. try aisa and europe. 06' WRC CHAMPS!

intake, full exhaust system, not the gay bolt on ones.. headers ur car will be quicker and louder.. the gas savin part dont knoe bout tha but it will be loud and quicker
