They might be able to but I'm not sure.

After losing 7-4 why do they still want to protest the game? It was only a 1-run mistake. If the Indians lost 5-4 then they would win the protest. It is a moot point now.

I just saw the play on mlb.com and wonder where the protest is.
1 Out. runners on corners. caught fly ball. runner from third touches home before third out ( which is an appeal play not a force out) is recorded. Thus the run counts. It is the responsibility of the umpires to rectify the mistake made by the oofficial scorer at the time it is noticed, not at the time of occurance. Even if the Indians do formally file the protest, they will not win because the umpires are correct.

Given the correction that was made was the right one even if it was 3 innings later I would guess they will not win the appeal.

Yes! It's clear that the run scored long before the forced double play. If you've noticed the umpiring throughout the majors so far this season has been awful.

no, because the score would not have been affected if the right ruling had been made, and also since it would not have decided the outcome of the game
