Well, this is really YOUR choice, but another idea is you could rip another dollar in half, tape those 2 halves together, and spend it, but if you REALLY wanted to photocopy the other half of a dollar and tape it on the real dollar, I guess you could do that, because the singles are NOT checked for their validity.

Believe it or not, you can legally spend the dollar. If a dollar is ripped in half (only in half), you can spend it like a regular dollar. You probably can't spend it at a machine, but you can still spend it at a counter. Besides, photocopying money is called counterfitting, and it's illegal.

Just to let you know, there are sensors on color copiers required by the federal government that detect the shade of green on paper money that will register where and when the copy was made. Only takes the feds a matter of days to track you down. Not a good idea.

you gotta have BOTH serial numbers and one corner I think
when I was 5 or so, I was thinking, what if I ripped a piece off of each of 10 dollars, then taped it to make an 11th one

If you take it to the bank they'll give you a dollar for it. It happens all the time. I had to do that once when I accidentally ripped a 100 in half.

Im pretty sure you need more then half of the dollar to qaulify and I think you need a certain side to it (side with the umber identification?). Otherwise why not tear all your dollars in half and turn them into twice their worth.

No, dont copy it...go to a bank and tell them that you lost the other half, and ask politely if they could possibly go and replace the dollar for you.

I don't see why not. Just make sure to do a good job otherwise the government might get angry at you for counter fitting 1 dollar bills.

No. I think if there is greater than 50% of the dollar still intact, you can take it to a bank and have it replaced.
