Today I woke up and noticed they were missing..turns out someone threw them out!

That is sad. I have had a couple stolen and just plain lost some. It is practically impossible to rewrite them the same way.
Now what I do is make multiple copies.

That happened to me as well once, except by house fire. I felt a part of my life was missing. There is no way to recapture what was so great the first time either. I tried rewriting and they sounded so bland by comparison.

I think I would shed a few tears over that. Wow. Did you have them saved anywhere or share them with anyone who might have copies?

How cruel....I have tons of poems my late husband wrote and he even wrote 2 novels...I'm currently editing them and if they were gone...it would be a horrible loss....I am so sorry for you....really/

i`d probably cry 1st, then get even!!! but i`ve learned to save mine on several backup discs as well as in my notebooks, in case of disaster!!!
