That is sad. I have had a couple stolen and just plain lost some. It is practically impossible to rewrite them the same way.
Now what I do is make multiple copies.

That happened to me as well once, except by house fire. I felt a part of my life was missing. There is no way to recapture what was so great the first time either. I tried rewriting and they sounded so bland by comparison.

How cruel....I have tons of poems my late husband wrote and he even wrote 2 novels...I'm currently editing them and if they were gone...it would be a horrible loss....I am so sorry for you....really/

i`d probably cry 1st, then get even!!! but i`ve learned to save mine on several backup discs as well as in my notebooks, in case of disaster!!!
