when i flush the toilet the water comes to the top.

I cannot see or feel the puzzle when i used rubber gloves to try and remove it.

You might try mechanical fingers; usually these are less expensive than plumber's snakes or augers, best I recall.

Here's a site that illustrates the gadget I talking about. I'm only providing the site to illustrate the gadget. I've bought the 24" size with 3 grab prongs for less than $2.

You might also try a coat hanger hook, the wood puzzle piece should float back into the bowl if you dislodge it; also get a toilet diagram from some DIY book to see what your confronting in the toilet trap pathway. (It's an "S" shape of sorts.)

I like Edumaca's suggestion, and the only other best way is pull the toilet and go in from the bottom. The toilet is designed with its own internal P TRAP system, and I can't imagine a puzzle piece doing what you suggest, by itself, unless of course it's a childs beginner puzzle piece larger than the opening within the toilet. I have to imagine it has helped collect other debris by now.

Get another wax ring at a hardware store. Pull the toilet and back flush it with water and it should come out. good luck

Bend over and pull it out ! And then wash your hands ! It's just a toilet, not a snake pit !

you can buy a snake or you could try to grab it with a wire coat hanger

Use a snake. Don't use your hand, bc what if it gets stuck in there!?
