Getting piercings DOES hurt, but not as bad as you'd think. There's not many nerves in your ears, but there are more in your nose, since it's a harder cartiledge. Getting my ears done (all 6) hurt for about 10 minutes afterward. Just make sure you go to someone that uses a needle (NOT A GUN!) and sterilizes all of their equipment. Also make sure they educate you on how to care for your piercings. It hurt less than a beesting for me.

nope, had em all done (ears and nose which you mention) none hurt at all, and I have a low pain threshold!

The ears are numb on whatever part of it you get done and you dont feel it what so ever, the nose feels like the itch before you sneeze- but you dont actually want to sneeze so please dont worry about covering the piercer in mucus!!

where rings or studs are concerned? just make sure for the first 6 weeks, every day you turn the stud until it turns freely and claens with sterile fluid on cotten wool to take away any dry skin or whatever- its all normal and wont go on forever. This will make sure that they are dead easy to change over and 100% pain free when changinf later on- not to mention clear of infection.

to combat the sleeping on your side and having the point of the stud jabbing into your neck, stuff a piece of damp (not wet) cotten wool inbetween the earlobe and your neck and you can sleep easy, remember to cleanse in the morning the earring to prevent infection as well as at night.

They -all of them DO NOT hurt whenever changing, as long as you take care of them the only reason thy will play up is through infection which is easily remedied by doucing in tcp for a day or two.

So I have two piercings in each ear, and my nose pierced. Ear piercings depend on where you get them, I have mine in the lobe area, and they dont hurt at all to get done. They just feel really warm after you get them done, and maybe itch until they heal. My nose, hurt really bad, but it only hurts while they are doing it, afterwards it doesnt hurt at all, Unless it gets infected, so the place that pierces your nose will tell you how long to wait to replace it, and how to take care of it. I got mine pierced the first time with a stud, which are the ones with the ball on the back, well my nose healed around the earring, so when I tried to get it out, the ball was too big to fit through. it hurt. So I would recommend getting it pierced with a hoop or hook. They are easier to change for me, and to clean. You just got to get the hang of it. But yeah, dont be afraid, they are no big deal, and they are so worth it. :) [Email or message me if you need anymore information.]

The only advice I can give, is prior to putting in different studs, rings, numb the area with an ice cube for a few minutes

i got my ears peirced when i was about 12 and all i remember was that they felt very hot and stingy more than painfull, as long as you take care of your peircings the way you are told to, its no problem changing studs. my ears close over quite quickly and i often have to push the stud through the thin layer of skin at the back and it only goes red and hot, not sore. hope this helps x

its gonna hurt, it's a wound. and with all wounds you have to take care of it. Yes it hurts, but it hurts like a mug if it gets infected. The initial "jab" does hurt for awhile, as does the swelling. After it heals and then you change the studs, it will not hurt, it shouldn't anyway. Just dont try to change them too soon and keep them clean!!! It's well worth it

It isn't painful, so like reject all the rumors you heard. All I know is that when I got my ears pierced it didn't hurt, I didn't get my nose pierced so I don't know about that.

My nose hurt whilst it was being pierced but after that no pain at all! I'd say go for it, there's maybe a little bit of discomfort but it's worth it.
