I am so lost at the minute I can't believe I'm asking you guys and girls out there for help. I can hardly focus on the screen let alone concentrate on what I'm trying to type. My partner, 35 year old love of my life died on Friday and as he wasn't religious I need to find music to play during the cremation. He was a biker who loved Ozzy, Metallica and the like but I can only find 3 rock ballads. Metallica - nothing really matters, Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford - close my eyes forever and Ozzy Osbourne - dreamer. I think they are all appropriate and its quite scary that they were his favourite tracks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance! xXx

Sorry to hear about your loss. In This River by Black Label Society is Zakk's tribute to Laine of Alice In Chains. Dee from the first Ozzy album is beautiful (if a little brief). Always With Me, Always With You by Joe Satriani and For The Love Of God by Steve Vai are awesome instrumental pieces of music. We'll Burn The Sky by the Scorpions has a beautiful lyric (it was written by Hendrix' partner Monica Danneman). I hope this helps. Take care of yourself.

I am so sorry for your loss!! I can hardly begin to understand what you are going through. the main music at funerals at the moment, I think is "You Raise me Up" by Boyzone (I think). I don't think that you can go wrong with this as it works on so many levels and always makes me cry because it was used at a recent funeral that I attended for a family member. Ozzy and Lita would also be perfect!! There are usually two songs at funerals (one going in and one going out), so maybe you could use both. I sincerely wish you all the best at this very difficult time in your life. I do not have any similar experiences to share with you to say that it will get better but I have heard that it does and hope that you will find happiness and comfort in the future...

Try:

Metallica - Fade to Black
One

Iron Maiden - Strange World

Manowar - Master of the Wind
Crown and the Rings

Poison - Life goes on

Warrant - Heaven

Skid Row - I remember you

If you don't know these or any other suggestions, you can sing up to Napster for a free 30 day trial so you can check them out for free to check if they are appropriate.

Our thoughts are with you. Be strong, take comfort in your friends and family and don't try and do it all alone.

holes in the floor of heaven
welcome to my world
what a wonderful world
you gave me a mountain
calling all angels
stairway to the stars
go rest on that mountain
just a closer walk with thee
look for me

these are not metallica songs but they were some that were played at my fathers funeral and they are amazing

nicely a funeral is a somber occasion of someone's life, and there ascension in to the subsequent degree of life. jointly as i actually like a number of what Marilyn Manson has carried out,I purely think of it would placed across the incorrect message and vibe. Ya, all and sundry desires to bypass out with a bang and be flashy, yet what you will desire to think of of is a funeral isn't inevitably for you. this is greater fore those whom have come to grieve and say there very final goodbyes. and would desire to you spot grandma digging Manson, or somebody else from the previous era; that is at your funeral? in case you have your coronary heart set on it bypass forward yet airing on the voice of reason i do no longer think of its a sturdy thought.

firstly im so sorry to hear of your loss, my heart goes out to you. The song I love is For Crying Outloud by Meatloaf. Not enough room to put the lyrics here but look it up. Hope everything goes as you'd like it to.
