how do I type Japanese if i have a English computer?

I don't want the entire Japanese system in my computer, I just want to get to type it. And I don't want to spend a lot of money on it. Anyone know how?

I fyou are using Microsoft Windows
Go to the Regional and Language options in the conrtol panel
Go then to the Languages Tab
Check the 'Install files for complex scripts ...
Insert the windows cd
Click Apply
Then Click on Details
Add the Input language you want

Microsoft should have a Japanese IME (input method editor) you can download as part of WIndows Update
