Should I use a synthetic engine oil for my 2004 MX-5 Mazdaspeed? If so, what type and if not, what should I use? Car manual says 5-30 or 10-30 and to use oils that have a particular seal.

definately. just find any synthetic that is 5w30 with an API SM certification. oils that meet this are Mobil 1, Castrol Syntec, Redline, Amsoil, Valvoline synthetic, Pennzoil Platnium. if you have your oil changed at a Mazda dealer that also services fords, you have request that they use Motorcraft Synthetic. it meets all of mazdas specifications, as mazda is partly owned by ford motor company. the motorcraft synthetic is made by Conoco Phillips oil comany and is a very high quality oil.

That Pacifica could require a 5W/30 in that kind of temps. you ought to pass with a man made on the comparable weight or pass with a 0W/30 weight on your incredibly chilly winter circumstances. one among those stuff is made for those chilly climates. in case you preserve the motor vehicle in a storage you basically initiate and pass, yet permit it heat up somewhat just to get heater superb and toasty. recommend Mobil a million or Pennezoil man made

Synthetic. I use Mobil 1. You should use 5W30 if you drive in temps of less than 0F, 10W30 if you drive in temps of over 100F. In between is your choice.
