Some of the names people listed are gaining in popularity even though they SOUND unique. I'll list some names, even some you might have heard of before, that are not as popular as they once were and you might be luckier with them than Connor, Caden, or Mason (all very popular names over the last few years). I looked at 2005 baby name data to come up with these, none of which were in the top 100 most popular names (even with alternate spellings added):
Parker #119
Oscar #116
Cooper #121
Tanner #131
Miles #210 (#139 if added to alternate spelling Myles)
Nolan #144

Drew #198
Roman #205
Grayson #253 (#211 if added to alternate spelling Greyson)
Harrison #211
Keegan #240 (#211 if added to alternate spelling Keagan)

A name should flow in all it's parts--so whatever name you give him should sound good with first, middle, and last names together.
For instance, John James Jones is hard to say.
Also, if the name gets too exotic, it has been said that it can interfere with his getting along in life (opposite for a girl).
So you might want to consider giving him one more used name and one rarer name with his last name.
That way he can use either one.
Now, for some rare names: if they are unique no one has ever used them before and you just make one up.
Tristan - nickname (Tris)
Alexei - nickname (Alex) (Alexei is Russian, I think)
Will - from Wlliam. No nickname.
Some Celtic names are Ciaran (Pronounced Keiran), Ian (pronounced Eeyan), Liam (pronounced Leeum)
Gotta go.

A lot of people were suggesting Aidan and Caden and if you want to avoid him having other children in the same class...those are not "unique" names. Check out any Top 100 list for 2006! Aidan was #1 and Caden was in the Top 10!

-Jameson
-Jonas

-Schuyler
-Spencer
-Gabriel
-Connor
-Brenden
-Greyson
-Landen
-Logan
-Wyatt
-Gavin

A few of these were on the Top 100 List I looked at. Connor was in the Top 20, but I still like it. If the other ones were on it, they were in the second half and most of them weren't on the List at all. Best of luck!

I really like Jack , Angelus, Gabriel, Viktor and Vladen. They are kind of uncommon because they are all pretty old and chances are he will be the only one.
I also like Sawyer but it is becoming more popular so I'm not sure if you'll wanna go with that.
