Sure.
My dad's side of the family doesn't have twins, but my mom's side does. It seems to skip every generation for my family. So, even though it should skip me, I'm still hoping when I get pregnant I will have twins.

Yep, you can have twins, it doesnt just come from the fathers side of the family, and if you have twins in yours then definately, its your eggs. You can have twins even if they dont run in the family, non identical twins are caused by 2 eggs being released and fertilised, they can even be concieved a few weeks apart. A friend of mine had non identical twins and when she found out it was twins, the father freaked out and said they werent his, because he has no twins in the family. It has since been proven they are his, and she kicked him to the kerb anyway.

Yep having twins actually has nothing to do with your partner's family. If you have twins on your side then your chance of having twins goes up. Now Identical twins happen by chance and have nothing to do with twins being on your side or his side.

Twins are genetic....so yes.
Sometimes twins just happen too. My friend had no twins in her family, but she had twin boys.

OH YES THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE YOU COULD HAVE TWINS . THE MATERNAL GENES ARE WHAT COUNTS.I JUST HAD TWIN GIRLS 81/2 WKS AGO.MY MOM IS A TWIN(FRATERNAL).HER MOM MY GRANNY WAS A TWIN (IDENTICAL).AND HER MOM MY GREAT GRANNY HAD 2 SETS OF TWINS. AND HER BROTHER WAS A TWIN.THEN MY GREAT AUNT WHO WAS NOT A TWIN HAD TWIN GIRLS.SO IT DOES NT ALWAYS SKIP GENERATIONS EITHER.

its possible but u can only tell when u get a scan done cause i thought i would have twins due 2 it been on both sides of mine n my fiancee but i might have twins next time round but u dont really know until u get pregnant and get ur scan

Of course you can. It's the female that makes the decision in this anyway. Either her fertilized egg splits and makes 2 babies or her ovaries release 2 (or more) eggs to be fertilized. The man has no deciding factor in this in any way.
