A girl ran into a rich man and he said would you sleep with me for a million dollars? She agreed she would, then he said well what about a hundred thousand dollars, again she agreed she would, then he said well what about 10 thousand dollars and she agreed she would do it for that too. Then he said to her well what about $500 dollars and she said to him what do you think I am? He looked at her and said well we have already established that now we are only haggling over the price.

A married woman was use to her husband making good money and paying all the bills, they had good sex and a few kids during that time. Then he lost his job and and was finding it hard to get one and the bills were getting behind, she stopped having sex with her husband and when he asked her why she said well you can't pay the bills anymore and I just don't feel like it. He said well I am trying, and she said to him well when you get the bills paid again then we will do it again. Any similarities with the girl and the rich man?

""well all i hav 2 do is go 2 daddy and he well give me like 500 dollars r however much i want ♥""
Thank you for sharing this and I really am glad for you the next time that you talk to your daddy though please tell him that there are those out here that can't do this cause daddy is having to try to scrape together that kind of money just to pay his bills and pay his taxes and it just ain't right! I guess I was a spoiled little girl at one point in time too and then reality hit me in the face and I had to learn to be a better person because of it. I hope you well and good wishes and many blessings in life.

""There's absolutely no difference in the girl with the rich man and the married woman. They are both prostituting themselves.""
Thanks Lettie, so are so many people that don't even care, and yet they are only going to make a few of them stop. It is a system and it is systemic and I am not sure how to change it other then to educate and that is what I try to do.

Again I go back to my upbringing, we were not rich I mean money wise, there was enough to pay the bills, Our vacations were in summer rec at the public school near us. But we enjoyed it, I never looked for too much, I was thrilled when the girl downstairs, gave me clothes she out grew. I never looked at them as second hand, They were new to me. I was raised with values, that I sometimes think this world has forgotten. When my husband lost his job, I had 3 small children, and I know that my family would help, but before that,I got a job and helped out as best I could. Isn't that what you are suppose to do. Work with each other. My father in law would come up to see the kids, and when he would leave, I would always find a $20.00 bill under the plate. We are talking in the Sixty's, so that 20.00 went a long way. I always felt that I couldn't go to Welfare, because there were many people who needed it more that me. We survived it all, Working together is the Key to it all. As for someone offering me Money to do something that I know is wrong, just to get money, Absolutely NOT. If it meant scrubbing floors on my hands and knees, I would do that first, and I have.

Technically we are all prostitutes working to make a living, we are prostituting ourselves for an agreed re-numeration. Some people go through life staying together for the sake of their children or family. Others work at a job they do not like but have no choice other than continuing to earn the money and having to put up with whatever comes along.

I wonder if this is a generalized question or if it implies more in a analytical sense. Nonetheless, generally, to get paid I would find a job, adapt to the working environment, go above and beyond expectations to get that raise therefore more money for me!:-) Or, just buy a bulk of stuff and sell it on Ebay!I do not believe in performing illegal acts to get paid unless I was in extreme need...and even then I would always question the lack thereof. But for those who are more on the needy side..i.e.maybe can't work..I would seek emergency assistance from the government/organizations in any form i.e. Fianancial vouchers, Link, Cash Assistance, Good Samaritan, Church Communities, etc. Hope this helped!

It would depend on how badly I need the money. Of course "work" but I think that the "work" would be relative to my abilities and the situation.
If I simply am answering in regards to paying for my living and am able to do so with out having to compromise my morals...then just plain ol' work does fine.
If times were grim and I need to get paid to pay for a life saving issue for my children...then I think I would do what ever it took to get "paid". With out killing anyone.
But if I need to rob a liquor store and I had run out of options...I would. But just like the recent robber whom robbed a liquor store and freaked the clerk out so bad that they needed medical attention...I would do what he did and make sure 911 was called and just like that robber...I would apologize profusely.
Then I would run like mad!!!
Sounds bad to say but desperate times call for desperate measures.
It would have to be like a scene out of the movie 'Raising Arizona' where he robbed the grocery store for diapers though!
I would NOT hurt any one physically. That would be my limit as to how far I would go to get "paid".
***In regards to what the user "noone" said.
Wow! How true! I myself do not ever work with the notion that I am there just to get my check and go home.
I myself have risen faster and higher than my contempories who exercise a type of apathy at work. I have always received un raises and promotions with less formal education than my peers. Being that my peers have witnessed my work ethic first hand...jealousy has rarely been an issue. I have been employed in so many different positions and departments in my career due to my versatility and willing to do any thing to make my company a more productive and efficient corporation. By demonstrating my self-less work ethic I am viewed as extremely valuable to our company and I am treated with respect and monetary compensation.
It is a great compliment when the President... Owner... Partners... and all other executive officers consider you to be one of them and seek your advice and assistance. Knowing that they can depend on me to get any job done and that I have our best interests in mind has kept me around through all lay off rounds and for that...I am thankful.

It depends on the amount of money and what is being paid for.
For the most part, I get paid for performing tasks related to my profession.

There's more to life than money. I find if I truly do things on purpose, and not on outcome that things usually tend to work out favorable to my wishes. Living life on purpose means to see the big picture, to do things because you know you have something to be done in life rather than on outcome meaning whatever end result you'll get whether it be money, fame, fortune, love, or so on. Doing things on purpose means doing it just for the sake, joy, and satisfaction of doing it. A volunteer is living their life on purpose. A philanthropist is living their life on purpose. A religious person is living their life on purpose. The rest of society usually tends to live for the outcome. They work for money regardless of it's service or nonservice to others. They do things against their intergrity because it's what they have to do to "get by". I say nothing is worth anything if one isn't happy. If I'm not happy, then I might as well go. Life's simply too short for me to think differently. It's those who live life on purpose, who do things because they love to do them and who'd do them regardless of whether or not they were paid to that do the best at what they do, and thus seem to get paid the most. A dentist that focuses on really fixing a tooth instead of just getting this person out of the way so they can get their payment will receive a referral of 20 more people from that satisfied customer by word of mouth or otherwise. A person who works a job just to get pay is 90% more likely to stay exactly where they are in their career rather than the person who calls the company "we" "us" and "our". Who stays overtime even when they don't have to, Who focuses on efficacy, and really feels a team effort from the company rather than a single position that they simply must "do their time" for. It's those who regularly communicate with their boss and ask them to truly explain what they're there to do and they have them set their tasks in order of rank, doing what the boss wants done first, first that are in this position. They think of themselves similarly to as the managers think of the company. Which is for productivity and effectivity of the company as a whole rather than simply pushing through their time so they can receive their check. And when this happens, they rise the ranks, they're clearly standing apart from the rest of the workforce who wants their check and nothing more. The boss calls them in, they tell them to keep up the good work and they receive merit raises. When if ever the decision to lay off people comes to play they'll never even think of considering them. At best, they'll move them to another department, a person like that is simply too valuable to let go. The real point of this is that if someone is in love with what they're doing, which should always be the first step to check off before anyone even thinks of doing anything for career or otherwise, then the quality of work with be far exceeding that of an average worker, and thus their pay with be higher, their opportunities of advancement will increase, and simply a fountain of abundance will turn on for them which wouldn't have been there otherwise if they were only focused on the outcome. Not only that, but in doing what they love so well, they take the good that they do and make that product or service nearly the best it can be meaning that the ones on the receiving end of that product or service will have a lot to smile about. To me, living a life so fulfilling and joyous is worth more than money, but usually those who live life on this level will always receive more pay than they ever thought they would have otherwise. For me, it's not so much what will I do for money it's what will I do to make myself happy. I live a very blessed life.
