Having loved and lost, I sometimes am not sure about this...BUT the love I had produced a son that I cherish, and I do have good memories (and am now in love again)..so Yes I do believe that it is better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved before.

Guess so ..cos even if you have lost in the long run yuo have won.
yor persona has changed .. the teary times has made you a stronger human being..you are a better judge of people now .. yes you miss him/her but it was not meant to be hence you lost ...but why feel bad ? cherish the love..move on ...life is long ..and we all must live!

I feel that having loved someone for a short period in my life and then losing him was better than never having him at all.I met him a at bad time in his life(long story),but I still have all the great memories that we shared together.I had to move to Austin,TX. to start college and he was attending college in Colorado.I guess he couldn't cope anymore and committed suicide that fall.Yes,it did hurt but I learned to appreciate the time that we did have.I do believe that.

Because loving is one of the supreme ultimate purposes on Earth. Without love, what's the point?

Yes, and as one of my friends have said in regards to a question I asked him: "If you don't ask [if they like you,] you could miss your chance to be with that person, and though being turned down might sting a bit for awhile, but not saying anything and finding out later that they did like you and you didn't do anything hurts for a lot longer."

It really depends. If my husband died, I would still rather have had the years I had with him than never to have been married to him at all.
It depends on the relationship, and how you "lost" the one you love.
