Are the newer sanitary belts as good as I keep hearing about in the U.S.? Lace, color, holds pad better, etc?

Please, tampon users need not respond - this is for us girls that use pads. There has to be some reason for the increase in belts being used by younger girls. An article I read mentioned they had trippled in sales to young women in last 5 years. Thanks for your help.

ummm....you were some sort of belt w/ a pad?? huh i thought you just stick em on your panties. im confused.
