Make ice cubes (small)out of the same type of water in your tank (not from the tank, but the same type of water). When it gets too warm, drop an ice cube or two in.

Sounds to me the only issue that replaced became the temperature. i will wager there is an anti scald gadget interior your bathe faucet. attempt turning the warmth down slightly and notice if this works. good success. turn the temp down on the recent water heater.

A fan blowing across the water surface will provide evaporative cooling to the tank. Make sure you replace the evaporated water with new/fresh water.

As long as it's not going over about 90F you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Depending on what fish you have you might even have more room to work with in temperature range. If it gets too high, the ice cube trick works.
