its a horror comedy i think and has a bunch of kids and monsters i think it was made in the eighties and i remeber a kid turned into a swamp monster in it, it was american film

Oh, Heck Yeah!!! You're talking "The MonsterSquad" (1987)...and get ready to be happy!!!
In an article on www.fangoria.com, dated February 20th, it was announced that the grown-up incarnations of the original 'Monster Squad' have just completed an audio commentary, exclusive for the DVD release of the film, later this year via Lionsgate (release date unannounced, at this time).
This is a joyous occasion for long-awaiting 'Monster Squad' fans, including myself, and I look forward to the film's impending release on DVD with great relish. Bring It On!!!
Now, if they would get serious about releasing onto DVD, director Fred Dekker's other cult horror classic, 'Night of the Creeps'!!! Ah, we can only hope............

Oh god now that damn Monster Squad theme song is stuck in my head...thx a lot!!! The one with the old weird lady next door and all the traditional horror monsters: Dracula, werewolf, etc...ahhh
