I know this is a strange one but I wondered. I mean, when you daydream or fantasize, it doesn't feel real or like you really are there but when you dream at night, it feels really real and you think you're actually there. But if there's something you want to do or someplace where you want to be at and you can't and you only want to dream about it. I thought that there was some way to make you stop or start dreaming of something but I don't know. The answer probably is you cannot make yourself dream of something you want to dream about it but I wanted to ask anyway.

Meditate before going to sleep. Clear your mind of all extraneous thoughts and focus on what ever it is that you would like to dream of and see if that works. That's the best advice I can give. You really don't have much control over your subconscious when you're asleep.

It doesn't always work, but sometimes if I think about what I want to dream about really hard while falling to sleep I will dream about it. It's kinda like the daydream fades into the real dream. Maybe it always does, but I don't always remember my dreams, and I was told you only remember the dreams that you wake up during.

Lucid dreaming is where you are in the middle of a dream, and become 'concious'. If you dont wake up after you figure this out, then the dream becomes lucid. With practice you can controll almost every element of a dream - who you are with, what you are doing, and where you are doing it. I suggest you get some books on it if you are interested. It is a wonderful skill to obtain.

What you will want to do is meditate before you go to sleep. Keep meditatuing until you eventually fall asleep and you will dream about what you were meditating about. i do it all of the time. If you need more advice on this just email or IM me.
