Oh, how I hate questions like this. Why do teachers boil down subtle concepts into True/False, Yes/No questions that demonstrate ZERO understanding? A kid has a 50% chance of guessing the right answer or the wrong answer and have NO CLUE why they got the answer right or wrong.

Evolution just means "change at the species level". Natural selection is the MECHANISM that Darwin proposed for how evolution occurs in nature. So they are not the same thing.

So I guess the answer is False.

Natural selection is ONE mechanism for evolution to occur. There are also other mechanisms, such as mutation, migration, and genetic drift.
