Moss isn't a good route receiver, he has blazing speed and awesome jump ball ability but his only success was when he had a QB that could scramble (Culpepper) and buy Moss time to get open for those 70+ yard highlights on sportscenter. His attitude is piss poor and he goes on record to say he isnt even trying anymore, what the hell is that? I'm shocked the Patriots of all teams picked him up. I personally liked Moss alot, I mean not the fact he always has a career day against the Cowboys but what he overcame to get in the league and his on the field antics, he was entertaining. But after he went to Oakland and all you saw on sportscenter was him looking like a 10 year old pouting on the sideline after he just got taken out of a pee wee game. Yes the Patriots sure did take advantage of a team that really wanted to get rid of him and maybe being surrounded by players that really want to win he will turn it around. Even if he doesnt have great numbers the distractions to the opposing teams coverage schemes is worth more than a 4th rd pick alone.

No risk for the Patriots really. A fourth round pick that wasnt even their own to begin with for Moss who has potential to turn a game around. There is a ton of character guys on this team and Bellichick loves his style of play and beleives that he can accomodate Moss' attitude adjustment. They have loaded themselves with WR talent and that actually makes them a MUCH better team than they ever were. With only Maroney in the backfeild next year and a handful of ok backs to spell him having 6 WRs that could be at lest #3 on every team will allow them to scheme enough to fool everyone into figuring out where the ball is going. Moss will have to mature as a player in the respec that he can not give up on plays he isnt involved in like he normally does and he will have to be willing to only touch the ball MAYBE 5-6 times a game at best. This is a no lose situation for the Patriots.

I guess Pioli and Bellichik tired of reliving the dropped passes in the AFC championship game. I know that and the blown pass interference call have been tormenting me. Stallworth and Moss as wide outs, with Maroney and maybe Dillon in the backfield, Tom Brady will have lots of options.

I'm "Mr. Wait-and-See" but I say barring an injury to Brady the Pats will win the Superbowl this year and set the record for largest average margin of victory in a playoff run. This is sickening news for the rest of the league.

Oh god no. Moss will basically play even as he needs and Belichick will bench him for it. it is going to likely be a waste of a roster spot, a waste of money, and a waste of a draft %.. New England is a few distance too sensible to even attempt that commerce.

The Pats essentially turned their 28th pick into a high first round pick next year (assuming the niners continue to stink) and a shot at giving brady an incredible play maker.

As for his attitude, i can understand why he wasnt happy with the raiders and think he will turn it around with the Pats. I also think that if he doesnt, Belichick wont hesitate to cut him. In which case, they have only really lost a 4th round pick who otherwise may or may not have made the team.

that is the stupidest thing the raiders have done! they Finally Get a chance to get a GOOD! QB and then they go and trade their best player... and their best wide out... now they have no one to pass the ball to... and they have like 6 diffrent running backs! they drafted 2... and they had justin fargas, zack croket, lamont jordan, and they signed dominic rhodes so damn those raiders.. they're my favorite team but DaMN!
