If I have a secret that must be told to give me some relief, I tell my sister. She's never spilled anything I've told her in the past. I know it's safe b/c we're exactly alike. I don't tell her secrets and I know she doesn't tell mine. We;ve been sharing secrets for our entire life and we haven't let eachother down. But, I think what we have is extremely rare.

It is hard to ever trust anyone because if you think about it, if something was too strong to allow you to keep it inside, that made you tell someone, than what makes you think that they can keep it in? Secrets are dark and sometimes it lifts the evil to just tell that one person. If you are close to them, if you believe that they could understand it, then tell them. they may not keep the secret that you told them, but then it is lifted from you and then you know that there is still that something inside of you that can release what you never thought that you could. It is always a good thing to rid yourself of the evil, because once it is out of you it is no longer as strong. Then if all else fails tell a priest and then you are sure fire not letting anyone else know what it is that you told them, but you are letting you evil out all the same and keeping it safe.

You are not keeping the secret if you tell someone else. The only way to make sure that a secret stays a secret is if you keep it to yourself and don't say anything.
