Hint: It's the strongest of all virtues, with it's opposite virtue, Hate, being second to it only.

Both are stong emphasis of emotions - one is of light and the other is dark. Love is more difficult because one is putting oneself vulnerable to potential positive or negative outcomes. Hate only receives negatives - it's also hard for one to stay hateful though, because as beings with feelings we possess both of these. Love transcends the challenges of hate for this emotion let's us learn, understand, and risk ourselves in being hurt to only become stronger in return.

I bet you already know that love means more, that it's not implied by romance alone, since romance has love with lust no matter what some may say. Love comes from bonds of strong friendship basically. But without compassion for one's self, then one's love cannot expand let alone know what it is like.

(Great. Now I feel like a poet of love or something. Ugghh... But yes, that's what I think of love.)

Love is unconditional. You would do anything to satisfy the relationship with that one person or thing. Unfortunately, not all love is a two way street. What you might be willing to do to sacrifice for that relationship might not be reciprocated by the other person. Just know what the other is willing to do for you. To give is better to receive is not always the best way to look at relationships.

Everyone always says that it's loving another person more
than yourself, but I've always thought that it's seeing an
enhanced version of yourself through another's eyes. The
ego never rests.

Love has different stages,......one being the willingness to give all you have , including , your life so that another may prosper. Love eminates from your creator,....without him,...there is no Love. It is the greatest "Fruit of the Spirit."

Love is God. God is not flesh. Sex is sex, while love is Love, and the two do not know each other, because one was not made. Love is pure.
