Ok, get this... I was in my friend's mom's DODGE CARAVAN!!! A freaking purple soccermom car. When this guy in a Civic pulled up next to me. It had a bodykit, and all of that. He kept reving his engine, and stuff. He wanted to drag. I got tired of him doing it, so I agreed by reving the minivan. Lol. When the light turned green, we took off. Now here's the kicker... I actually BEAT him! Don't ask me how, but I did. He just drove off in shame. Which brings me to my question. If people have a crappy car that may LOOK fast, why are they so cocky? It's REALLY annoying...

Ego problems. Civics seem to attract people like that because they are easy to tinker with.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying that everyone with a civic is like this. I autocross with the chicago region SCCA and we have modified and stock civics that race along with us. The car is actually a very good car. It all just depends on the driver. These wannabe street racers are the problem.
Also, caravans and voyagers actually have some pull in them. Don't try to race these though. I had one. It's just gonna end up bad.

It's the ricer attitude, they think they can beat anything, even the space shuttle with a 100 hp no torque 4 cylinder rice mobile. I destroyed a stupid ricer in a plymouth laser with a 4.3 L V-6 blazer.... it was great! Your right, they think they can beat anything. It is funny to watch them get destroyed by minivans and SUV's....LOL!!!!!

Hey the guy had to be arrogant. Afterall, he had a body kit on his Civic. He had to justify the price somehow. He is mad, he didn't use the money on engine upgrades. And wasted it on fiberglass, instead. All show, no go. A hot-rodder wannabe.

maybe the car was good and the guy was just a crappy driver. happens alot. cars are only as good as the driver.he was just cocky because he thought his car was bad a s s . evidently he wasnt!!
