I taught a lady to drive who was much, much older than you. She hadn't been allowed to while her husband was alive, but once she found out what she'd been missing there was no stopping her! Bright as a button, really switched on and her mature common sense helped her pass both her tests with flying colours. Give it a go, go on.

I'm in my early 30s and I can't drive either. It's good to hear that I am not the only one. I wish I could drive now, I've just moved and the public transport is rubbish, but at other times in my life is hasn't bothered me at all that I can't drive. I have failed my test twice and I HATE having driving lessons. I have more reason now than ever in my life to learn to drive but I still don't actually WANT to. If you are feeling motivated towards doing it, then DO IT! You're not going to regret it after all and if you choose to still use the bus and just keep your licence then you can avoid most of the road rage. The bus is environmentally friendlier and you'd often times be just as held up in the car as on the bus. At least if you have passed you have the choice. Also, if you can afford it now, that's also worth considering. I'm pleased that I can't really afford to learn at the moment so I'm not having to do. If you've got the cash, do it now, it's only going to get more expensive.
Good luck!

My mother-in-law passed her driving test 10yrs ago and she is now almost 72! You are never to old to learn and never to young to try! You should have a go time and time again and if you want to pass, you will. As for public transport? Learn to drive, it is much quicker. Good Luck!

Hi, Do it, Do it now! it is one of the best things you will ever do, it does not matter how old you are. Never mind other people on the road, think of yourself driving to all the different places. Good Luck to you.

Definitely learn to drive, my granny didn't start to learn to drive until she was over fifty and if she could do it at that age you can definitely do it at your age. Just be patient with yourself and you will get there in the end. It will give you a great sense of freedom, I learnt a couple of years ago and am so glad, it is so convenient, I wouldn't be without my car.

Go ahead! Take some more lessons and stick to it!
I was a 'late' learner too, I made sure I learned to drive.
It infuriated me that my mother hadn't bothered to learn and she had to totally rely on other people to get to where she wanted and it was not always possible to get to appointments when she needed to.
You WILL regret not learning it something happens to your mobility and you can't get about.
Go on............ have another try!
(Good luck!)

By all means, get your license. There is an amount of independence with a car and a license. You are no longer depenent on the whims of other people and can go at a lark.
Go for it. good luck

learn to drive and get a car:
*no waiting 30 minutes in the rain for a bus that turns up late saying "sorry out of service"
*no restricted shopping amounts - put your bags in the boot
*taxies are really over priced
*give your mates a lift, and charge them lol
