Because some people think that they have the greatest names that they want to share, or they like to give their opinion on the matter. Personally I think that it is not necessary to ask strangers to pick a name for their child. Do they expect us to raise them too.

Because everyone has an opinion on baby names? Could also be that people wanna save a baby from a lifetime of being teased over a bad name that it's parents might pick.

Because the baby name questions are so easy to answer. Not everyone knows about how to pick the best jogging stroller, but everyone can pick between George and Bill.
Personally, I've discovered that one of the truths in life seems to be that no one will like the names you've picked out for your unborn baby.

It's so much fun to name somebody. You get the best feeling inside when you know that you named someone's baby. They trusted you and listened to what you said, and I guess that's all that matters. I love thinking up names for people, and it's difficult to name a baby so maybe they just want help. Yahoo Answers is a good source for this. And plus, doesn't everyone love babies?
hope this helped!!!!

It's fun to think about possible names.. especially if you haven't had children yet or are done having them. And we also like helping people but I think the biggest thing is to give feedback. A stranger can give you a first impression of a possible name that you may not have thought of such as a nasty nickname kids might make out of the name you so lovingly chose. So, I think it's a combination of reasons!!

Names are very important to people. They often define who we are in life. They are one of the first words we respond to as a baby and they are often the first word we learn to spell. Our name is often our identity. I think people answer these questions because they like hearing new names and combinations. It is a lot of fun to play with names.

Everyone has an opinion!
These are opinion questions and one can just pick what they like. In many other questions, people may not have experience in that area or never even heard of what is being asked. With a name, anyone can pick what they like.

Probably because people find those questions fun and easy to answer. Not to mention they like seeing what people pick for names. You don't really need to know anything to answer them either lol.

because more people have opinions about baby names and other questions you should know what your talking about before giving an answer so i guess the people don't know what they are talking about so they just skip the question. if its cause your questions don't get answers ..........i know how you feel you wast 5 points to help clear your mind or whatever and you maybe get 1 answer its so frustrating!!!

lol, I know I noticed that too, I think just because it doesn't take a lot of thinking. Ya know, just think of a name and write it down, nothing like Math, Science, or Cars or anything which you have to be smart to answer!
