Do you think it's dorky to wear deck/boat shoes with jeans?

At my job, we don't have to dress up. I work for an IT department and sometimes I have to crawl around on the floor and up in attics. But it isn't exactly digging ditches either... We try to look semi-dressed up. Would it look dorky to wear boat shoes with jeans and a polo shirt to achieve the semi-dressed up look? Are boat shoes just for shorts, no socks, and to go out on the lake with? I know it might not be the most fashionable thing (that's okay), but I just don't want to be doing a well-known nono, like wearing a black belt with blue slacks for example.

Yea so nerdify. Just be simple at a casual job. Vans are perfect or the converse shoes not the sneakers( thats dorky). With the different types of vans you can match it with nice faded jeans and a simple polo shirt. What looks nice is... Brown Vans, Beige Faded Jeans, A tan polo shirt with the sleeves folded up and a white t- shirt underneath. Simple and Fly!!!!

apartments are continually information to cutsie up an outfit, also if the jeans are somewhat lengthy, that's totally in to tug the jeans somewhat over the heel, revealing basically the front 0.5 of the flat. turn flops are also perfect searching on the outfit :-)
