I wouldn't be so happy, but if it was the first time she did that,I would forgive her.

I'm exceptionally loyal and I HATE it when others aren't, which I find happens quite a lot.

When I was younger, I would probably have just sulked for a bit and felt hurt.

Now I'm more mature, I would approach my mate about it, or let them know in some way that I wasn't impressed... I'd stay calm and find out exactly what was going on first. No point in throwing toys out of the pram.

Firstly beware that the source of information may be the game player. Ask them about it calmly. Record the conversation. Regardless of the excuses your "friend" gives. Tell them that your friendship is over. You then play the tape to your other friends who know her. If any of them seem victorious or pleased with themselves, bin them as a friend as well.

Some people are just plain pathetic. You don't need them in your life. There is nothing good about having people like that in your life.

You will find new friends though.

from my point of view it depends on how close you are with yoru so called friend.
if you are close then you have to confront them and work out together why she/he is saying these things and you need to make it clear that it is hurting you. alternativly if you are not that close you should go up to them and shout in their face and make it clear you are not taking the **** from them.

if you dont think things can ever be the same again because of what this person says then it is not worth that much worry over, but if it was a petty argument then try and sort it out rationally because having a friend who can say sorry is better than no friends.
hope it sorts itself out

If I thought the person telling me was speaking the truth then I'd ask my friend why they couldn't say it to my face. I'd then calmly tell them I didn't need that kind of friendship and walk away. If possible I'd do this in front of as many people as I could. Nothing like a bit of embarrassment to get a message across.

If they're saying things behind your back, they are NOT your friend. With friends like that, who needs enemies? Tell them you know about what they've been saying then find yourself a new set of friends.

Talk good about him behind his back to the same people...by tactfully telling them what a wonderful person he really is but that he has this one weakness of talking bad about everybody behind their backs and how all of them should get together and try and cure him of this bad habit...maybe even teach him a lesson etc.

The best thing is to gather evidence then arrange to meet your friend - stay calm and ask them outright. Give your friend a chance to explain and defend themself. If what they have been saying is unforgiveable, then call time on the friendship and move on.

Don't stay bitter and angry, leave it behind and value the good friends you have.

When He Would Tell My Other friend Stuff and the other
friend would tell me about it. he turned out to be full of
crap in the long run. a curse on him to this day for that.
he was the only one in the whole world who had exclusive
access to my family and other friends and he abused that
privelage.

If they were good things, I wouldn't do anything.
If they were nasty, I'd ask them why they were saying those things, and if they didn't have a good reason, I wouldn't talk to them again.
Life's stressful enough without having friends that are two-faced.

Call that person to the carpet in front of your circle of friends or so called friends and confront them right then and there in public view.....
