There is like this reddish discoloration on all my plants and the glass. Did the guppies kill the Danios and if so why? They have been living together in peace for about a month. I am thinking of adding tetras to the aquarium now, will the guppies kill them?

Acorrding to your question i have fish to and they have that red stuff all over the plants and tank. I know just what to do and know what u need to fix it befor your guppies die so listen up... P.S.
They guppies did not kill them, they got ill just then but befor when they lived together they were fine.

1. The danios probly are ill. one of mine are ill to. Now if you have a regular bowl get rid of it and get a 10 gallon tank with a fillter, ask a perfeshalun for witch bio bag u need.

2. the illness can get to your guppies so find some medacation for your fish just incase.

3. If you are not sure your fish are ill check for:
Hemorrhagic Septcemia, Body Slime & Eye Cloudy, Looks like cotton is growing from the mouth and Furunculosis (AEROMONAS.) so be on the look out for thoose things.

4. Now to your last question, if the Zerbra fish was smaller then the guppies they could og ate him or if u live withsome one they could of threw him away so ask!

I would call it a good chance that the danios jumped out or got sucked up by the filter. That's the two most likely choices. The guppies aren't to blame as they can't catch the danios to hurt them badly much less kill them.

Guppies cannot eat zebra danios. They probably jumped out or got sucked up by the filter, as everyone else said.

I'm thinking they got out. The reddish discoloration on the plants and glass sounds like beard algae has gained a foothold in your tank though :( See below for how to eradicate it and GOOD luck! It's the hardest type to get out of the aquarium :(
Not your fault: comes in the water from either the fish store with fish or on the plants themselves.

Hmmm... Mysterious. Is it possible that a giant alligator escaped the sewer to eat the Danios? Perhaps the Danios became, through mutation, a favorite food of the elusive giant alligator of the New York City sewer system. I'd check into this more.

There are 3 things that could have possible happend.
1-the filter sucked up the fish so you might want to check it
2-someone removed the fish without telling you
3-your fish ate it, also dont add tetras in your tank i dont think they will be compatible

i doubt that the guppies could kill any fish that is about 3x smaller than it

check your filter. do you have a guard on it? if not they got to close and got sucked up.
