Those are anchor worms. Depending on the size of the pond(s) in question different treatments would be most economical. Also is the factor of food fish versus ornamental fishes. If these are food fish and you want to treat them in the pond instead of removing them for treatment, the only FDA approved treatment is a 0.8 - 1.1% salt concentration.

If no one eats any of the fish, you can treat with Benzene hexachloride (lindane) at the rate of 1:8,000,000 or 0.12 mg/liter another non food fish option is Masoten (neguvon) at the rate of 1:4,000,000 or 0.25 mg/liter. The second would need to be applied twice, one week apart. Remember, these two treatments are not considered food fish safe!

BTW, it's not the cattle to blame, it's birds that carry the worms and complete it's life cycle.

Hope that helps

How about some gouramis, angelfish, barbs, tetras, rainbow fish or paradise fish? they are in simple terms some names yet you've gotten to envision to work out what fish can flow with others and what number can fit on your tank.

I think you should start by talking to this person...........Maybe you can become friends with him! I always see a good side of a bully and one day we talk and just then everything changes!

Good luck!
