Simply put, find the difference of both the y and x coordinates and place them in a ratio.
slope= y2-y1/x2-x1
so slope= 10-1/-6+3= 9/-3= -3

you subtract the two "y" coordinates and then divide it after subtracting the two "x' coordinates. *make sure you do y1-y2 and x1-x2
"y's" 10-1=9
"x's" -6-(-3)=-3
9 divided by -3 =-3
