There are many ways to tell if someone is lying. One of the easiest ways to tell is that they won't look you directly in the eye, unless they are good at lying then they look too deeply like they are looking past you. Also, when people hesitate in answering they are usually thinking of a lie that is easy to manage so they dont change their story later. Also, people are figitty when they lie because once it starts they worry about what to say so they dont get caught up by making a bigger mor serious lie or accidently telling the truth when asked the right question.

There is no really sure way of telling if someone is lying. Some can look straight to your eyes and lie to their teeth at the same time. If you knew enough about the person maybe you can tell if he/she is lying just by looking at her/him. Otherwise try not to be too trusting.

My brother is an expert liar. He can look me in the eye, talk smoothly, BUT what he doesn't know is that his nostrils flare just a bit, the corners of his mouth tug up, and he gets these big pink blushing marks on his face. I have seen that on many men, and every time, they were lying. *I was a court reporter*

cant do eye contact and if they do they look to the left (so i been told) people also rub hands together shift from one foot to another, find something to occupy themsleves so not have to look u in the eye, or the best one is they get all defensive an turn red(not every1) and try to either change the convo or accuse u of something

They might repeat the question to stall for time, or many times people touch their face when they're lying.

people sometimes put their hands near their mouth subconsciously when telling a lie

eye contact isn't a good judge. some people have been traumatized or are scared or socially immature and just can't make eye contact. doesn't mean they're telling lies.
