I do not mean this as a mean stereotype, but I had to ask...

Do Norther Europeans have a Metal music fetish?

I was just listening to the Cardigans' cover of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Wow, it is such a different song when she sings it!

I don't own a Hell personally, but I can't imagine you would go to any Hell for listening to Dimmu Borgir. Personally, I prefer the Deathstars and the 69 Eyes, but Dimmu Borgir is by no means bad. Oh why do so many great bands come from continents so far away?

Nope.

According to scripture (The book of Romans, Chapter 10), the only way to keep from going to Hell is to:

9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

I have done an extensive search for Dimmu Borgir in scripture, and cannot find any reference to the band. Seriously, the thing with people talking about music preferences is this: Music influences us in life. If you listen to things that influence you in a godly manner, you will tend to act in a more godly manner. If you listen to music that influences you to do things destructive in your life, you will, in turn, act on those compulsions and destructive tendencies. It is a misconception to think that listening to a style of music is sin. This is basically told by people that think their works will get them into heaven. They think on what I call the "Cosmic Scale" system of faith, saying "Well, I don't do any worse than that person", and stuff like that.

Your music choice is up to you, but keep in mind that music does influence you on a subconscious level (proven in countless studies). And that the choices we make dictate the life that we lead.

Hope this helps...
