We need to one other measurement of the tank to figure out the gallonage of the tank. Then we can suggest different filters that will get the job done but not break you budget.

I would recommend a Red Sea Art Deco Nano Filter, avaliable on Petco.com. Also, you'll need a heater for tropical fish. The cheapest one I've seen is about $15. Gravel, plants, and decorations are a must.

Please measure the depth of the tank and post it, for now, I would recommend going to walmart and getting one there after you figure out how many gallons it is. To do that, once you have all three demensions, go to this site http://animal-world.com/encyclo/information/calculate.htm.
Good Luck!!!!
