Genocide. Just listen for a minute to the hate spewing on here towards Mexicans. Once it started, no one would be safe.

There are fourteen different types of democracy. What kind are you talking about?

As it is ours is a "representative" democracy.
I am not feeling very represented these days & I wonder about that myself.
Democracy in it's purest form in my mind would be to have one vote for each citizen.
In a perfect world , the votes would be counted with honest certainty & the will of the majority would become law.
What would happen?
No idea.

Everyone with motivation and ingenuity would be doing great. The lazy would be complaining. The dollar would rise as the most powerful denomination of money in the world again, and the price of oil would probably go to $5.00 a gallon. Well, you can't have everything.

the form of government would be a theocracy.
there would be no one on welfare.
abortion would be illegal.
women would be subject to random rape.
most people would drive drunk.
blacks, latinos and every other minority would be confined to their own state.
the democrat party would be outlawed. (not such a bad idea)
gas would never be more than 1.00 a gallon.
homosexuality would be illegal.
there is more, much more, but i think you get the picture...this is why our form of government is a representative republic that uses the democratic process to elect leaders.

We would have many more progressive laws. We would already have affordable healthcare and would not even be in Iraq. But corporations seem to have usurped the will of the people and their lap dog neocons allow it to happen.
