Why didnt he just move it and let me sleep. I told him I would go get it and take it outside and he said he would go get it. IF he knew it was too close and sitting there, why didnt he just move it instead of come upstairs, wake me up and then go back down stairs to move it? It was sitting in front ot the kitchen door about 20 feet away from the pilot lite.

Maybe he needed your opinion as to whether it was really too close or not. Or, if he's not too bright, maybe he needed your opinion as to whether it should be moved.
