I just read that Bee's never sleep?

which gives the assumption that they don't dream? How sad is that?

Pretty sad, but....this is true of most invertebrates, insects, spiders, worms and such. They just don't have enough brain tissue in their body mass usually for it to *matter* whether their brain gets any rest or not, and in the meantime, it's easier for them to survive if they are active more often than not.

But there is an exception to this: octopus. They have fairly big brains in their bodies, courtesy of living as active scavengers and predators on the sea floor, and a bigger brain is needed too in order to manage their camoflague abilities. And science has recently proven that they *do* in fact go into a still, quiet state like our sleeping...

For the most part though, yeah, spineless critters like insects are going to be active more or less 24/7, it just makes more sense in survival terms for them to do so. And since they likely don't have the brain capacity to really be "sad" in our sense of the word, it's all good. ^_^

They don't sleep because they are evil and are always planning new attacks on me and other people. They need to all die and return to hell where they came from.
