They are training them how we fight urban warfare and giving away military strategy but think setting an exit date is worse. Where do the republicans get their mentality?

Some of the police they have trained have turned out to be on al-quieda 's side.

So if iraq is not the enemy then why did bush start a war with them?? Training the enemy is not a tactic its stupidity. Setting a date will make them shape up. Its like welfare if ya cut them off they will have to work. Bud W has about the best answer so far

The same mentality that makes them think its ok to micromanage everybody elses posessions. It's that 30% population of micromanager's that are the real problems of society. The republicans are rebs and still want to be slave owners. They thought it was ok to give arms to iran for hostages. They probably gave them nuclear technology at the same time but hushed that one up. Now we have problems with Iran. We will always have problems with anything a republican does because they are selfish and only care about the rich part of society.

setting an "exit date" means you are already defeated. It means you acknowledge that you will not stay for as long as it takes. It means that the enemy only has to lay low until that date and then they can claim victory.

Training people is never wrong. It teaches them to think for themselves and means that they- even if they are al quaeda supporters today- get new ideas and may switch sides.

And just think- urban warfare is excellent against insurgents. What good is it against a Nimitz class Aircraft carrier or a cruise missle? The cops get taught the skills needed to root out insurgents so they can fight them on an equal footing- after all the insurgents already know this stuff.

BTW- this is tactics not strategy.
Giving away military strategy is the setting of an exit date.

Well, if the nation is focused on the war they won't focus on the REAL issues confrontint America today. They know that if we get down to discussing REAL issues they will lose big time. So, it makes sense that they want to delay the time before we turn Iraq back to the Iraqis.

Oh I see now. You think that the Iraqis are the enemy, no we already defeated them. Iraq is now an Ally. Just like Japan and Germany. Do you understand now?

Because leaving a security force that is not ready to take on the security of their country is like telling a teacher to maintain discipline in a class, but not giving him/her the ability to punish the kids when they misbehave. The readiness of the security force should determine the day we leave Iraq, not some politician in Washington DC.

because talking rationally to a Republican in this day and age is like talking to a brain washed German in the 30's...they walk around like zombies repeating Bush is good. Bush is great. Gays do nothing but fornicate
