On Earth there exist many animals that could be described as self-aware. If humans had not become dominant, then it is possible that some other animal would have evolved to fill this role. We used to believe that the Sun was necessary for life. Then we discovered life on the bottom of the ocean centered around geothermal vents. There is a theory that life can travel between planets and seed a new habitat if the conditions are suitable. It would be difficult for life to travel between Solar Systems but not impossible. In Science we say that nothing is true without proof. But the reverse is also plausible, nothing is false without proof. All I can say for certain is that it is possible.

Assume for a moment that life in our Galaxy appeared on a number of planets at about the same time. Remember that there were two distinct ages of dinosaurs before humans gained dominance, so we might be late bloomers. Human civilization is at best measured in tens of thousands of years and our technology is growing rapidly. If we were to meet aliens their evolution and technology could be vastly different from ours, plus or minus 100k years of technology is trivial. Therefore, keep an open mind and wait for evidence.

There's really no proof yet that aliens exist, but I believe that they do. I mean, wouldn't it be kind of foolish to think earth is the ONLY planet in the universe that has life? Even if they don't look like us, I'm sure there is something else living out there. And plus, I think the US government could have already found aliens, but just hid it from us to prevent a huge panic. But other than the small possibility of the government keeping "experiments" locked up in laboratories, I think you would have to go far into space to find any.

Aliens definetly exist. It would be arrogant for us humans to think that we are the ONLY damn organisms in the entire friggin universe, we may just be the only ones in our neighborhood. We have NO right to claim that aliens do not exist until we have the technology to travel at 186,000 miles per second at the speed of light, and cover every galaxy there is in the universe and not find other lifeforms. Sh**, we cant even travel to the moon without having an accident.
PS: to those who are replyin with answers saying that bush is an alien, pelase stfu, ehs not an alien. Bush is just a mentally challenged human being .

Um yes, but that movie is unrealistic. There is almost definitely life on some other planet, but we would be trillions of light-years away from them. There is a infinity - 1 to 1 chance that we would ever have contact with aliens and an even less chance of them being advanced and having flying saucers. Think about it: there are several million galaxies, each having roughly billions of stars/star systems, each containing 0-26 planets. I rest my case.

sure there are alien out there, take a good look to mr bush, i'm sure hi is from another planet or at least from another reality.
the real thing about aliens is something that i heard from a seti guy, "they could be as diferent from us that 1) comunication could be impossible 2) we might not recognize an alien life form even if we step on it.
just think about how diferent is a horse from a fly.

no, i think if you read the bible it will tell you the answer to that.earth is the only planet that sinned and refers to the world as a stage.there are other beings GOD created they are not hideous monsters with an agenda to take over earth they are intrested observers in the great controversy and the soon to be end of satan, death and sin.and GODS character will be vindicated for once and for all throughout the entire universe.AMEN.

There are aliens in outer space and to them, we are aliens. They don't make contact with us because to them what's the big deal? They already traverse a universe teeming with life so there is no novelty to that. Is it so novel to us that there is life all over Earth?

Well, aliens could live on another planet and could be really far away from us and scientists haven't found the planet that aliens could be on. I think there are probably aliens somewhere on another planet.
