OK.... so I have to do this report on this guy..... but I kinda forgot his name. He was a black man from the 1800s time period. He wrote some books on freedom of blacks that are very well known. He's known as one of the biggest abolitionists ever. I know it's not a lot of information..... but does anybody know who I'm talking about? :)

Please read his autobiography:

NARRATIVE OF THE LIFE OF FREDERICK DOUGLASS, AN AMERICAN SLAVE (1845)

There seems to be some question of the authenticity of this autobiography, there may have been a ghost writer since it seems so unlikely that an illiterate slave would teach himself English well enough in such a short period of time to publish such a well written work all alone. Frederick Douglass may have been a front for the abolitionist party.

Pick One:

William Blyden, Frederick Douglas, Martin Delaney, or
James Walker Hood.
