Nobody wants his name in the books, so why take the chance? The man obviously can get the record (thanks, steroids!) but I wouldn't give him the time of day. Walk him. Any situation. Bases loaded? Who cares, at least he won't get the record. I'd do it all to save a true record, Aaron's. Ideas?

THIS IS NOT A RACE ISSUE. "Keeping a brother down" (as someone responded) is some sad excuse for a lazy person looking for "answers" to their own failures.

I have no idea. They should just nail him in the head. How could any big-league pitcher miss a target that size?
Seriously, though, just give him four wide ones if the situation permits. Then try real hard to pick him off.

Because the game is more important than the record. Who really cares if the steroid king and liar hits more home runs than Hank Aaron?? The record will remain in tact with Aaron because it will have to be noted that Bonds used steroids. Here we have a classic case of a classy team player (Aaron) and a self-centered athlete (Bonds).

Chow!!

Because teams are more interested about winning a game then they are that a man is breaking a record that he deserves. He hasnt broken any rules. He's innocent until proven guilty. Also before you posterize me as a bay area giants fan, i actually live in new jersey and i love barry bonds. So far all you people who think noone outside of san fran likes him your wrong.

Because the game is played to win games and a postseason berth, not worry about personal achievements. Bonds does sometimes make outs, and pitching around him isn't always (rarely, in fact) the best strategy.

They should just pitch to him- I mean, he's not taking steriods now, and he's still hitting homers, so it wasn't ALL steriods.
But as far as baseball goes, teams are trying to win, and they are not thinking about stopping bonds record

I want his name in the record books. Why hate on a person with obviously superior skills?

The things bonds are accused of only hurt his own body and the integrity of the game. Nearly everyone hates him for it. Now you want to do something hate only hurts the integrity of the game????? Sounds really dumb to me. We will just call you a bonds wannabe......lol

When teams decide to pitch around him, they should pitch at him instead of walking him.. Go for that bad knee.
