No scratching that may be misconstrued as acceptance. Just ignore them. If they have a 360 go to it and block it that may prevent email.

Ignore them. I've gotten so many of them, from total strangers, I replied back with insults and rude remarks because they were calling me names (she knows who she is and if she's reading this, I wanted to let you know, I deleted your last 2 messages, I didn't read them, ahhaha). But seriously just ignore them, at first, you'll feel really angry and you want to pull their hair out but you'll get over it. There's a lot of dumb people in the world who do this, they're looking for a fight because they have no lives. They're low lives.
