I have a 2000 dodge neon. The car sputters after about ten miles of driving. Give it gas and nothing. I pull over and put it in park and engine revs right up. Put it in drive, acts like it is starving for gas....makes no sense.

Could be dirty injectors, clogged fuel filter, or fuel pump is going south. My guess is that you probably need to clean the injectors and change the fuel filter; both are not expensive to do.

You really need to post more information on the problem. It could be alot of things. Take it to a shop and have it checked for trouble codes for starters. It could be anything from your alternator going out to your TCC (torque converter clutch solonoid) going out.

It's either overheating, or the fuel filter is plugged up.
