A lot of times, but then I am sure that everyone's is. Everyone has a different mindset, and a different idea of what is funny. I was trying to cheer someone uup yesterday and he thought I was insulting him unitl I explained everything to him.
Anyway, going over someones head with a joke does not necessarly mean you are smarter, it just means you think differently. . .

My sense of it, yes. People tend to take cynics seriously... especially when they're being sarcastic. And I hate when people start asking me "are you alright? You sound depressed" when I have to remind them that "I'm only joking ffs!"
That kind of kills a joke right there...
