When do you finalize a dvd disk before or after recording from VHS tape?

Hi BT,

You finalize after recording. Before a DVD is finalized it will only play on the recorder it was recorded on. Once you complete recording what you want on it then do the finalize operation and you will be able to play it on any other DVD player or recorder capable of using the type of media you used.

Once you have finalized it you will no longer be able to add anything more to it.
