Manu Ginobili "flops" so much because he is considered an allstar shooting guard. (I have noticed that he does do his share of flopping, there is a good point to this) With this title, he is granted respect and given leniency on calls from the refs, thus he expects to get away with offensive fouls. It is not just Ginobili who "flops", all the major stars do it, and the majority of the time they do receive the calls they want. It is especially bad at home games, where the calls are usually made in some regard to the fans.
Kobe Bryant is another example of a "flopper", especially in crunch times, when it gives the Lakers a chance to score, or win the game. The Utah Jazz, in my opinion, complain the most over calls (even when it's in their favor), and do their share of flopping. Although it is mostly a judgment call, the refs are going to call makeup calls, calls that favor the home team, and calls that benefit an allstar over a lesser known player .

ballers out of america are either weak and useless or they over react to a single touch. i cant lie getting charged at is a good way to get the ball for your team if you're willing to sacrifice your body. but you can also be called for a block. Really i thnk manu should just cut the crap and start being a man

You guys sound like bitter Nuggets fans!

He is a good flopper, just like DFish of the Jazz, it is part of their jobs to make it look like a foul so they can get to the line.

By the way, the Nuggets could have won at the free throw line, they did take 16 more than the Spurs.

because he's argentinian? i dont know (who does)... i think its a bit like the old 'boy cried wolf' story where he flopped a few occassions so now everytime he falls to the floor everyone (including the refs) thinks he is flopping even when it really is a foul. oh well thats what u deserve gino for flopping so much in the first place.

*** for Hi the guy who said beacuse he's european, argentina is in south america einstein!

It's that soccer background (I don't know for a fact that he actuall played but coming from Argentina, you know he watches a lot of soccer). They have to sell the fouls so he brought it into the NBA. GO WARRIORS!
