I say it like "Or-e-gahn" but my friend says it's supposed be like "Or-e-gun." Which is right?

Pretty sure I say it wrong cuz I'm originally from the Midwest lol. Think I should change or is my accent sexy?

Oregon natives and other Westerners pronounce the state name’s last syllable to sound like “gun,” not “gone.”

I am from Oregon and you say it like Or-e-gun... It sounds retaded when people say it the other way.

We say (or-E-gone), but then again we are not from Oregon.
