i'd check a movie called The Guyana Tragedy: The Jim Jones Story. it was made for TV i believe.

i didn't see it but i knew the basic story line. i only know remember it because it starred Powers Boothe. he's one of those actors that can play good or bad characters but really shines when he's being a creep.

Sounds like a movie based on true-life events. That was the Jim Jones fiasco (where the people drank the poisoned Kool-Aid and died in a mass suicide).
