Knock on Wood was a 1967 hit song written and performed by Eddie Floyd. It was covered by Otis Redding and Carla Thomas in a duet the same year of the original, by David Bowie, recorded live during his 1974 US tour and released as a single in the UK in 1974, and was also covered by Amii Stewart in 1978, for which it became a #1 single in the United States
