I have both games and was wondering which was best. Personally I think San Andreas is better because you get to buy houses, cars , clothing, and food. Also I think San Andreas is tougher.

You're right! San Andreas simply has far more to offer than Vice City Stories; I like Vice City Stories, it has cool new side missions, and probably the most hilarious of all GTA soundtracks (there were times I had to stop playing because I was laughing too hard!).
San Andreas, however, offers a massive and diverse playing field (with a realistic mountain), whereas Vice City Stories seems constrained in its flatness. In addition, there are at least twice as many missions, and the storyline is better (with fantastic dialog).
I think the original Vice City stands as a better contender against San Andreas in the argument as to which GTA is the best.

Definately San Andreas. There are so many more things then just buying houses, cars clothes and food, there is also a HUGE amount of side missions, huge gameplay area, larger arsenal, and more vehicles. Plus, San Andreas has sold a lot more copies than Vice City Stories.

San Andreas. Most of the graphics on Vice City Stories are pretty dated, and the voice acting is pretty wooden.

GTA San andreas is the best. you can do more things on it. if you type in PS2 cheats, you can get alout of cheats for the game...
