Also are they allowed to negotiate how much they are going to make? Do they have to play for the team that selected they if that team will not give them enough money?

Didn't you hear about what Peyton Manning did? That will answer your question.

The team that drafts you owns the rights for your services. Now them can trade those rights away to another team and it has happened on several ocassions. They (actually their agents) do negotiate their contracts and if no amount is agreed upon then they will sit (and not play, a 'hold out') until the deals gets done.

actually that was Eli manning. His story will answer your question though. Eli was drafted by san diego, but he held out saying that he wanted to play for ny giants. san diego realized that he wouldn't sign woth them, so they traded him to the giants for Phillip Rivers. usually this doesn't happen, but high picks can use this kind of leverage to get on another team
after the draft, the team sits down with their draft picks and their agents and decide on a deal consisting on how much money the player makes up front (signing bonus), how much they'll make each year (salary), and the length of the contract

Sorry papercut, it was Eli, not Peyton and unless your last name is manning, no you don't get to pick where you play.
